President's Innovator Award

The Society for Glycobiology President’s Innovator Award acknowledges the contributions of one scientist each year who has made a significant impact on society through innovation and scientific achievement.

Karl Meyer Lectureship Award

Established in 1990, this award honors the distinguished career of Karl Meyer and his outstanding contributions to glycobiology. Presented annually to a well-established scientist with an active research program who has made widely recognized major contributions to the field.

Rosalind Kornfeld Award for Lifetime Achievement in Glycobiology

Established in 2008, this award honors the distinguished scientific career and service of Dr. Rosalind Kornfeld. It recognizes scientists whose professional lifetimes have produced significant contributions with a lasting impact on the field of glycobiology.

Glycobiology Significant Achievement Award

Established in 2016 by Oxford University Press and the Society for Glycobiology, this award recognizes new and mid-career scientists whose discoveries have had, or have the potential to have, a substantial impact on the field.

Society for Glycobiology Distinguished Service Award

Established in 2021, this award recognizes exceptional service and dedication to the Society for Glycobiology. The award is presented annually at the Society's Annual Meeting.

MCP/ASBMB Lectureship Award

Established in 2013, this award honors scientists at the forefront of the emerging fields of glycomics and glycoproteomics. Sponsored by Molecular & Cellular Proteomics and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Student & Trainee Travel Awards

Student  & Trainee Travel Awards help students and postdoctoral researchers gain valuable experience and exposure by attending and presenting their research at Society for Glycobiology conferences.
